Scenario properties

Name your scenario and set how long it runs.

Your Starter plan only allows durations up to .

Area selection

Draw the rectangle that the scenario covers.

Your Starter plan only allows selections of up to X m per side.

Random traffic

Add background traffic for each vehicle type.

  • Cars

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Trucks

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Buses

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Motorcycles

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Bicycles

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Pedestrians

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Trams

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Urban trains

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Trains

Not available with a car-only network.

  • Ships

Not available with a car-only network.

Traffic flows

Define fixed traffic streams between two points.

Flows outside the selected area will be cropped (if possible) or discarded.

Advanced properties

Fine-tune what is imported and how traffic drives.

Imports the shapes of buildings and points of interest.

Imports the public transport network from OpenStreetMap.

Imports only roads for passenger vehicles. This reduces the complexity of the scenario and speeds up the simulation, but bicycles, pedestrians, trams, trains and ships are not available.

Handedness of road traffic

Defines on which side of the road vehicles drive. Choose left-hand traffic for regions such as the UK, Japan or Australia.

TTF and count

Random traffic is generated for each vehicle type from two values.

TTF (through traffic factor) tells how much more likely an edge at the boundary of the scenario area is picked as start or end of a trip than an inner edge. A higher value means more through traffic.

Count is the number of trips that are generated per hour and lane-kilometer.

The presets Low, Normal and High use these values:
